Oilmont 11 Miles to the South on I-15
The community of Oilmont developed around Clarence Davis's business, the Oilfield Supply Company, which he constructed south of the Absure Refinery, which processed petroleum from the Kewin-Sunburst Oil Field. Early residents wanted to call the town Koby, after an old town in Oklahoma, but by combining "oil" and "Montana" the community became Oilmont. During the oil boom that peaked in 1930, the town sustained a Chinese restaurant, several bars, a bakery, a movie theater, and a hotel. Toole County.Word Press
Four Corners Bar

Four Corners Bar is west of the interstate, and here you will find wonderful people and great food. Prime Rib is served every Wednesday night, the broasted chicken (pictured) is “delishimo”, and the food is always excellent. The bar/restaurant is a busy place, but the service is great! There are poker machines in the bar, if you’re the betting kind. Next time you need something to eat, or want a hot coffee or a cold beer, you can’t go wrong stopping at the Four Corners Bar. Granaries on Oilmont Road
You will see these cool old buildings at mile marker 13 on Oilmont Road. Pictured are the remains of four granaries, that Jim Midboe moved from his uncles (Sundbys) place, on Sundby Road, to his family farm on Oilmont Road. Mr. Midboe moved these buildings in the mid-1950s, and it took approximately one year to move each granary. Two of the granaries collapsed, and two still stand. Toole County.Word Press
Bethany Lutheran Church (Oilmont, Montana)
After the Great Northern Railway built a line through the area, Scandinavian immigrants began to settle in Toole County. The immigrants brought their religion with them, and starting in 1885 the Lutheran Church developed a presence in the county. The influx of immigrants reached its peak in the 1910s; it was in this decade, in 1911, that Norwegian settlers formed the congregation which became Bethany Lutheran Church. The congregation initially met in members' houses and the local school, but in 1916 it acquired land to build a church on. Economic difficulties stalled construction plans until 1923, when the congregation's Ladies Aid group bought a church building to place on the site. The church building was moved to the church's land the next year, and final construction was completed in 1925. The church remained active until 1960, when its congregation merged with St. Luke's Parish in Shelby.[2] (Wikipedia)
